Penistone Christmas Lights Switch On
The annual switching on of Penistone's Christmas lights!
Organised by Penistone Town Council.
Santa will be in attendance with his sleigh as part of the Santa's visit mentioned above!

Baumbers Christmas lights
Lights switched on and followed by fireworks at 6.40ish for approx 5 minutes. Anyone is welcome to pop by and join us.
We will have our light switched on from 4.30pm till 9.30pm every evening, up until new years eve.
All money raised will be donated to the many local Charities in penistone.

Late Night Christmas Shopping in Penistone 2023
So this week on the 23rd sees the start of the Festive Late Night Shopping Thursdays in Penistone.
Many shops and cafes will be open until 7pm in the run-up to Christmas.
When? Every Thursday open until 19:00 (23 November to 21 December)

Tractor and Wagon Run 2023
Tractor and wagon run starting at Goldthorpes Corn Mill, Lee Lane, Millhouse Green S36 9NN including a drive-by of the Penistone Christmas lights switch-on event at 17.30.
Arriving back to Crow Edge Community centre HD9 7TP for a night of music. Bar, Raffle and Auction plus prize for best-dressed tractor sponsored by TRS gas & plumbing.
All proceeds go to Penistone Gateway Club.
When? Saturday 2nd December starting at 4pm

Beer & Carols with Thurlstone's Brass Band
This is an excellent evening at Penistone St John the Baptist Church, not your typical carol concert, suitable for all the family and a bar too for those Christmas tipples.
When? Saturday 16th December starting at 7pm.

The Civic Christmas Fayre
Sam from Fields and Flowers will be back in The Tipi at The New Inn this year hosting Christmas wreath workshops.
What a great time to gather together and create festive wreaths whilst listening to Christmas songs and drink some mulled wine.
When? Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 December from 18:00 - 20:00

It all starts on Friday 24 November with the Christmas lights switch-on, featuring a spectacular festive projection in The Glass Works Square.
Follow the Light Art Trail at venues across the town center and enjoy the big illuminated parade for our fantastic finale on Saturday 25 November

Christmas at the Town Hall 2023
Christmas at The Town Hall is back for 2023 and you’re all invited.
The doors to our iconic town hall will be opened on Sunday 10 December between 11am and 3pm where you'll find it bursting to the brim with festive fun for all the family to enjoy.
One of the most anticipated attractions will no doubt be the man in red himself – Father Christmas, along with his little helpers who’ll be eagerly waiting in their grotto to meet the children of Barnsley. They’ll also be handing out gifts to all the children on Santa’s good list.

Barnsley Christmas Markets
WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE BARNSLEY CHRISTMAS MARKET WILL BE COMING TO THE GLASS WORKS AND BARNSLEY TOWN CENTER.
The Glass Works Square will come alive with over 55 festive stalls from local food and drink producers to festive gifts, crafts, and homeware, and the ever-popular street food vendors, combining traditional Christmas fare with flavours and tastes from all over the world.
