Penistone's 150th Annual Agricultural Show is taking place all day starting from 8am to 6pm on Saturday 9th September 2023 and promises to be a grand celebration of farming, food, and agriculture, is set to be a remarkable event that brings together farmers, food producers, and agriculture enthusiasts from all around the region. 


With a rich history spanning 150 years, this agricultural show has become a beloved tradition in Penistone, showcasing and honouring the timeless practices of farming and the essential role of agriculture in our society.

The event promises an array of captivating attractions and activities for visitors of all ages. One of the main highlights is the impressive display of livestock, where attendees can witness the beauty and diversity of farm animals up close. From graceful horses and plump pigs to fluffy sheep and majestic cattle, this exhibition is sure to be a delight for animal lovers.


The agricultural show also provides a fantastic platform for local farmers and food producers to exhibit their finest produce. Children are not forgotten at the Penistone Agricultural Show, this year’s show is once again going to be brimming with entertainment, with various activities, information, and competitions, as it has been in previous years. Livestock competitions, food demonstrations, farm machinery, handicraft, home craft and horticulture competitions, handicraft, home craft, and horticulture competitions, craft stalls, music, bars, vintage vehicles, rural crafts, dog shows, trade stands, and food stalls are just some of the things that can be found at this event.


Food lovers will be delighted by the variety of culinary options available. From traditional British fare to international cuisines, the food stalls and vendors will cater to every palate, ensuring that attendees can refuel and enjoy a delicious meal while exploring the show.


Plus, you can eat some scrumptious delights in their Tea Rooms. There is the option to buy lunch or afternoon tea in advance of show day. This completely sold-out last year and they are expecting the same this year.


The gates to the Penistone Show open at 8am and close at 6pm. The show committee is anticipating a very busy day again and would advise buying tickets well in advance to avoid disappointment.
